"Aeration" is a term referring to the process that removes plugs of soil from your lawn, or essentially "airing it out" through the use of aerator machines. This provides many benefits: It helps remove thatch so that your grass can stretch out and soak up water or nutrients more easily, while also preventing issues with standing water, grass mold, and other problems.
